Roads are deteriorating in the Greer area. Stay off the streets if you can. Greer PD has responded to six wrecks in one hour, and they've had to help several drivers who've gotten stuck in the snow. Avoid the area of Highway 14 near Chandler Rd. Stay safe, Greer.

It's snowing in the Greer area and will be for hours. Please stay off the roads if you can. Use caution if you have space heaters in your home to stay warm. Greer FD says a space heater caused a house fire on Mason St. last night. Get the latest updates on the winter storm here: https://www.cityofgreersc.gov/article/2671064

We are THRILLED to share that the "100 block" (from Poinsett to Victoria) of Trade St. is now open to traffic!

Our teams are making their way down the rest of the street to remove the barricades.

The one-way intersection at Victoria St. will remain closed due to ice, but we will keep you posted as the rest of Trade begins to reopen!

Which businesses on Trade are you heading to first?! Tag them in the comments!

❄️Mother Nature is still serving up icy conditions over at the Tryon Recreation Center!
Our pickle ball courts can't be treated to assist in the melting process, because the chemicals would damage the surface. So for now, we wait!
Like the Tryon Rec Center, all of our athletic fields will remain closed until our teams can confirm that they are safe for folks to access. We'll keep you updated on their status as we know more!

City of Greer offices are closed today, but our essential employees are out working to keep the city safe. Street crews have done significant work on Highway 14/Main St. and S. Buncombe this morning, but if you don't have to go out, stay home. Fewer cars on the roads will help them work safely and as efficiently as possible.
