Trade Street Social hosted a ribbon-cutting event yesterday with the support of the Greater Greer Chamber of Commerce. Mayor Danner thanked the owners for investing in the section of downtown where Greer got its start almost 150 years ago and pledged the city’s support for a “renaissance” in that area.
Trade Street Social has a full menu, bar, and golf simulators customers can reserve online for up to six people at a time.

Anchor Fred Cunningham said, “Greer strikes me as a big, big, big small town … Anything you want is here, and yet it maintains that small-town feel.”
Live from Greer City Park on Friday, the City of Greer Parks, Recreation & Tourism, Greer Police Department, and Greer Fire Department teams talked about many of the ways they serve our community, and several Greer businesses gave viewers a glimpse at what makes them special.

The city is working with its partners at the Greer Heritage Museum to plan a year-long celebration to mark our sesquicentennial.
Turning 150 happens only once in a city’s history, so we need a qualified designer to capture the spirit of Greer and set the tone for this important milestone.
Up to the challenge of creating a sesquicentennial logo and brand kit for the City of Greer? The deadline to apply is September 5. Get all the details and the application on our News section: https://www.cityofgreersc.gov/article/2361125

EDIT 8/4/25 - The work plan to start at City Hall has been rained out. We will keep you posted with any updates.
Repair work on City Hall won’t interrupt customer service next week, but it will periodically impact some parts of the sidewalk, the parking lot, and the main entrance.
On Monday, August 4, contractors will begin work to fix lingering damage from Hurricane Helene. They’ll start on the side of City Hall that faces Line Street. Some parking spaces near the work zone will be closed when needed for safety. A dedicated monitor will pause repair work for customers who need to access to the ADA entrance of City Hall.
On Tuesday, the work will mainly impact the sidewalks around the clock tower and along the back side of City Hall adjacent to City Park.
Repairs should be complete by the end of Wednesday, Aug. 6.
