Cops for Tots

Thirty-six years ago, one employee at Greer Police Department started the Cops for Tots Program as a way to help a small number of struggling families in the Greer area at Christmas time. The program was established to provide gifts for children who otherwise would have no gifts to open on Christmas day. Since that time, the program has grown exponentially and now helps hundreds of children each December. For the Greer Police Department, we take seriously the call to partner with our community and foster positive relationships between officers and children. We look forward each year to giving the gift of joy to our area children!  

Participation

Families needing assistance through this year's Cops for Tots program may fill out an online application or pick up a paper application in the Greer Police Department lobby. The program is open to children from birth to twelve years of age and is for children who live in the City of Greer. Applications are open through November 19, 2025.

The City of Greer Police Department partners with the local community each year to make Christmas a special time for our area children. Here's how you can help:

  1. By check - checks can be mailed in (102 S. Main St. Greer, SC 29650) or dropped off in person at the police department lobby Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM. If you write a check, it should be made out to Greer Cops for Tots.

  2. We accept new, unwrapped toys. We have a bin in our lobby and in several locations in the community. 

  3. You can also send new, unwrapped toys to us through Amazon. Just have it delivered to our department (102 S. Main St. Greer, SC 29650) no later than Dec. 5.
