Freedom Blast is an annual summer festival in Greer, South Carolina held in Greer City Park on the Saturday before the Fourth of July. Established in 2009, the event honors members of the U.S. Armed Forces and veterans while offering a day of family-friendly entertainment. Guests enjoy live music, food vendors, patriotic murals, and a Kids Zone with games and activities. A highlight of the festival is the Salute to the Armed Forces and Veterans, which takes place on the Main Stage as a tribute to those who serve. Notable traditions include eating contests, the presence of Sarge the Eagle mascot, and performances by groups like Team Fastrax–a parachute demonstration team. The event concludes with one of the largest fireworks displays in South Carolina, celebrating freedom and those who defend it.
