The City of Greer's plan review process ensures that construction projects comply with all applicable building codes, zoning laws, & safety regulations. This process involves a detailed examination of construction drawings & specifications. By identifying potential issues early, the plan review helps prevent costly modifications, construction delays, & legal complications.

The International Code Council published a new edition of ANSI A117.1, Accessible and Usable Building Facilities, on September 8, 2026. South Carolina law requires codes officers in the state to enforce the standards outlined in new editions upon publication.

To apply for a plan review permit, applicants should log in to eTRAKit & submit a complete set of stamped plans. If the project address is not listed in the system, E911 street addressing verification must be emailed to permits@cityofgreersc.gov.  For assigning E911 addressing, County contact information is below:

Plan review fees are calculated based on the project’s contract amount, & are due at the time of submission.
