The City of Greer has broken ground on a 200,000 square foot facility dedicated to athletics, recreation, and community connection. The City’s new Sports & Events Center will host adult and youth athletic programs such as basketball, volleyball, and wrestling and will have the ability to accommodate pickleball, futsal, and other popular activities.

“Athletics and recreation are deeply ingrained in the spirit of Greer, and the new Sports & Events Center will be a game changer for our diverse and growing city,” said Mayor Rick Danner. “We’re building a state-of-the-art facility that will meet the recreation needs of the City of Greer now and into the future. The scope and scale of this project are unrivaled in this region and promise to make Greer a destination for champions at home and across the nation.”
