Contractors are working to extend the life of Greer city streets in several neighborhoods this week. People who live in the affected areas should have received information at their homes from Pavement Technology, Inc.
Neighborhood Impacts
The company posted door hangers containing information about the road treatment and how it might impact residents. The work will not affect the trash collection schedule, and overall impacts will be minimal. Please follow the instructions provided by the contractor, drive slowly through the neighborhoods where the work is happening, and follow safety instructions from the street crews.
Tentative Schedule
This phase of road preservation work will last through October 22. You can view the tentative schedule here. Please note that the schedule is subject to change, but the contractor will notify residents if that becomes necessary.
Treatment Product
Contractors are spraying a material called Reclamite that helps extend the life of our roads in between full paving applications. The material is safe for children and pets. You can learn more about the city's road preservation program in the video below.
Who to Call with Questions
If you have any questions about the treatment or schedule, you can call Pavement Technology at 1-800-333-6309 or call the City of Greer Engineering office at 864-479-0969.
Some city streets will be fully repaved in the spring of 2027.
