People who think homeownership is out of reach now have an opportunity to consider in the City of Greer.
The city and the Greenville County Redevelopment Authority (GCRA) collaborated to build the East Fairview Townhomes development in the Sunnyside community. The development on Lion Heart Lane includes 14 townhomes. Eight of those units are available for purchase. The homes have three bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, and a one-car garage.
The townhomes are priced in the low-to-mid $200,000 range, but GCRA and CommunityWorks can provide down payment assistance for income-qualified first-time homebuyers that could bring the mortgage amount down to around $180,000.
