As construction ramps up on the City of Greer’s new Sports & Events Center, our teams are working to minimize the project’s impact on nearby neighbors.
During grading and initial site work, a homeowner reached out to share a concern about construction dust blowing onto her street. While crews can’t eliminate the dust altogether, they’ve come up with a creative way to help lessen the impact during this phase of construction. The solution: A dedicated water truck system designed specifically for dust control. Throughout the workday, the truck makes continuous laps around the site, spraying water to prevent dust from spreading into nearby communities.
Recent rainfall gave the truck a few days off, but it’s back in action this week with dry and windy conditions picking up again.
This small adjustment is one way our team is embodying the spirit of the ForGreer initiative with projects designed for our community and with our community in mind. The City of Greer is committed to maintaining thoughtful practices and open communication throughout the design and construction of all the ForGreer projects
