Meet the Resident Artists

Jaime Cain Headshot

Jaime Cain

Painter, Studio 1

Jaime Cain, a Texas native, has called Greer home since 2013, where she lives with her husband and four boys. Despite her Texas roots, she quickly fell in love with the Upstate’s stunning landscapes, clear lakes, waterfalls, and the majestic mountain backdrop.

From a young age, Jaime’s creativity was encouraged at home, leading her to explore art and design in high school and college. Though she took a break from painting to focus on raising her children, she stayed active in graphic design, creating custom wall calendars and silhouettes.

As her children grew older, Jaime returned to painting, specializing in watercolor and acrylics. Since 2019, she has completed over 300 commissioned paintings and released several collections. Her work can be found in homes, universities, businesses, and storefronts. In March 2024, Jaime received an "Award of Excellence" from Top Art Awards for her piece "The Songwriter."

Jaime’s artistic interests span landscapes, portraits, and still life, often presented in a thematic series. Her goal as an artist is to create art that tells a story and evokes a deep emotional connection.

Claudia Holmes Headshot

Claudia Holmes

Fiber Artist, Studio 1

As a child in southeastern Brazil, Claudia was already experimenting with fibers and weaving, braiding native vines for jump ropes and toy baskets, and crocheting door mats from strands of recycled plastic bags. Later, she was inspired by the abilities of her grandmother in crochet, traditional lacework, and knitting, and currently uses crochet as her primary Fiber Arts expression.

Claudia is certified by The Craft Yarn Council as a Crochet Instructor and has taught children and adults on four continents, including at Ms. Claudia’s Crochet Camps in the Greenville area. She is especially interested in crochet and weaving as therapy for ADHD and autism. Two of her five children also enjoy creating with fiber and fabric.

Claudia embraces current fiber arts trends while emphasizing the foundational techniques that will preserve this art for the next generation.
