The Greer Christmas 7s is a national rugby tournament held at Country Club Park. The event provides a stage for high school clubs to compete against other programs from across the country and to showcase high school athletes in front of college programs.

The tournament began in 2021 and has become a hotspot for collegiate coaches to scout for future athletes.

Last year's 2024 tournament hosted clubs from 8 different states This year's tournament will host:

• High School Boys Gold

• High School Boys Silver

• High School Girls

• Tournament provides officials from Southeast Rugby Referee Society as well as one athletic trainer per field.  

• College coaches who attend will have access to a small break room and overlook tower.   

• NO REQUESTS FOR MATCH TIMES - we strongly urge every team to stay overnight on Friday, December 5th in order to be ready for early 12/6 match times

• 2025 Christmas 7s tournament is a two day event

• Please note tournament director reserves the right to rearrange pods/division placement prior to schedule release if needed

Beginning this year, the Greer Christmas 7s will hold pool play matches on Saturday to determine Sunday Championship Bracket play. Seeds will be determined based off of your team's performance on Saturday. This will allow a team that may not win a match on Saturday to pull off a tournament run on Sunday, and still claim the championship. A true bracket championship.

Wins = 4 Points
Ties = 2 Points
Losses = 0 Points

Sunday Seed Tie Breakers (in order, after points are tallied on Saturday)
1. Head to Head Result (only if 2 teams are tied in a division, and played each other) 
2. Total Points Allowed on Saturday match play (if 3 or more are tied in a division)
3. Total Points Scored on Saturday match play (if 3 or more are tied in a division)

All Gold level players competing in that division must remain in that division, and cannot be pulled down to silver
Greer PRT tournament staff reserves the right to balance out divisions, pulling up teams a division if need be (if you are a previous champion returning it is likely you will be the first to be pulled up a division if needed)

We will get teams on the road back home earlier on Sunday.
