Coming soon to a bustling stretch of highway between Greenville and Spartanburg: A bunch of new businesses in Greer.

Folks driving through Greer along Wade Hampton Boulevard, also known as Highway 29, might notice a large volume of construction activity. So, what’s going where?

Ace Hardware will soon open a new location at 1100 W. Wade Hampton in the old Rite Aid space that has been vacant for a while. The company has already put up some signs and started moving in products.

Take 5 Oil Change has applied for a building permit for a site on the other side of the highway at 1095 Wade Hampton Blvd. The company advertises 10-minute oil changes and already has locations in Greenville and Mauldin.

Just down the road a bit, fast food restaurant chain Whataburger is expanding into South Carolina with a new location at 1386 Wade Hampton Blvd. 

Drive-through coffee company 7 Brew is bringing its speedy service to 1409 Wade Hampton Blvd. 

We’re waiting for word on when Tropical Grille plans to open its Greer location at 14620 E. Wade Hampton Blvd.
