Municipal Clerk

The Municipal Clerk acts as the administrative liaison between the City Council and Mayor, as outlined by state law and city code.

Appointed by the City Council, the Clerk oversees the preparation of the bimonthly City Council agenda, attends all meetings, certifies actions for approval or veto, verifies the accuracy of documents executed by the Mayor and Council, and communicates certified matters to city departments and agencies.

The Clerk maintains all city records, including minutes, resolutions, ordinances, agreements, contracts, board appointments, franchises, insurance policies, bonds, and property deeds. Additionally, the Clerk serves as secretary of the Municipal Election Commission and coordinates items for online auctions.
